ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY COORDINATOR (PART-TIME)
The Town of West Springfield seeks qualified candidates for the part-time position of Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator. Working under the general supervision of the Director of Public Works, this position is responsibile for tracking, analyzing, designing, planning, implementing, and managing policies and procedures that help prevent harm to employees, the public, projects, assets and the environment. Investigates and completes documentation fo all municipal incidents, accidents and illnesses.
Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Engineering, Environmental Science or Management plus working knowledge of OSHA, DEP and EPA rules and regulations applicable to municipalities. A competetive salary and benefit package available.

ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST/SENIOR LIBRARY TECHNICIAN
The Town of West Springfield seeks a dynamic energetic and customer service oriented individual to work under the supervision of the Library Director. Responsible for overseeing all office functions, warrant production, purchase orders, accounts payable, payroll, depositing and posting of monies. This individual will also work approximately half time at the circulation desk under the supervision of the Assistant Library Director. A Bachelor's degree and extensive knowledge of bookkeeping concepts with 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience. Excellent computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, databases; library or bookstore experience preferred. Hours include one evening per week and every other Saturday.

Responsible for assisting with general preparation of food at Council on Aging including cooking, preparing, serving and proper food storage and handling; assisting in and using proper procedures for placing, receiving and storing orders; assisting with weekly inventories and maintaining proper cleaning and sanitation procedures. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years experience in food preparation in an institutional environment, the ability to follow recipes and lift up to forty (40) pounds. Starting salary for this part-time ( eighteen hours per week ) position is: $13.00 per hour.

ASSISTANT TOWN ENGINEER
The Town of West Springfield seeks qualified candidates for the full-time position of Assistant Town Engineer. Working under the general supervision of the Town Engineer, this position provides professional, supervisory, technical and administrative work in planning, organizing and directing operations of the Engineering Department in corrdination with other Town departments, contractors, state, local and federal agencies. Other duties include: preparation and evaluation of bid documents, engineering support for all public works projects, drainage systems, review of driveway permits, parking lots, and traffic control devices and all other related work as required. Bachelor's degree with previous experience in civil engineering field required, Massachusetts Engineering in Training Certtificate
(EIT) is strongly preferred. A competitive salary and benefit package is available.

Under the direction of the Cook, Kitchen Helpers are responsible for helping the cook and the assistant cook produce meals as efficiently as possible; receive and store supplies;stock cupboards, refrigerators;clean food preparation and storage areas;clear tables and clean dishes;assist with food preparation. The West Springfield Public Library seeks an experienced individual to work 37.5 hours per week in the Circulation Department. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, the Library Technician will help maintain the accuracy and currency of the patron database. In addition, work will involve technical service elements including, but not limited to: the tracking of overdues, missing materials and claim returns. All functions include the use of automated circulation system and work on computer terminals. Work schedule includes one evening per week and every Saturday in the months of September through June.
